Alternative ending for Halfway to the Grave

Alternative Ending is a mini challenge hosted by The Book Blog Experience (as part of the Princess Bookie's Contest Craze). You have to write an alternative ending for one of your favorite books and put the link of your blog post in a comment, and you're entered in the $10 Amazin gift card giveaway! How awesome, isn't it? :)

Head over here for the rules and the contest!

So my all-time favorite book is Halfway to the Grave by Jeaniene Frost, so I chose it, but I have to admin, it was very hard to write an alternative ending for it, because it's my favorite, it's perfect the way it is, and I couldn't think about any ending that would be better than the original one. But finally, I managed to write something, but it's certainly not better than Jeaniene Frost's ending :) So here it is:
And yet when I finally drifted off, in that barely conscious state where logic was absent and dreams encroached, little images of Bones and me were flashing in front of my eyes. In one of these images, he was standing behind me. He was pulling my hair, my head was stretched back, and I could feel his breath on my exposed throat.

"If you run from me, I'll chase you. And I'll find you..." he whispered lightly, then the vampire of my imagination bit into my pale skin...

Dust and Decay cover contest

Aaand this would be my third entry for the Halloween Bash cover contest that is organized by Patricia's Particularity. I tried to make it as simple as the original cover was - I can only hope that you'll like it :)

If I die cover contest

Okay, my cover looks totally different than the original one, but I couldn't find the right pictures. So I made this cover for the Halloween Bash cover contest organized by Patricia's Particularity. I've already made a cover for Anna Dressed in Blood which you can see here :)

MIni challenge: top 5 release in 2011

This is an other mini challenge by Cindy (as part of the Princess Bookie's Contest Craze). All you have to do is naming the top 5 books that you read in 2011. And of course, you should be as creative as you can :) Here is my list:

5. Graceling
by Kristin Cashore
When I finished this book, I held it in my hands for several minutes and I still couldn't believe how it ended. I was so surprised - but with its characters and incredibly great story, Graceling became one of my all-time favorite books!

4. Clockwork Angel
by Cassandra Clare
CA was released back in 2010, but I read it this year... and I couldn't get my hands off of it. The story is set before the timeline of The Mortal Instruments, so the characters are totally different, but just as adorable! Most reader loves Will, but I'm Team Jem and I can't wait to see what will happen to him and Tessa in Clockwork Prince! :)

3. Angelfire
by Courtney Allison Moulton
Before I read it, I've read a lot of great reviews about the book and I wasn't disappointed at all. The story is really nice and I can't wait to read more about Ellie and Will!

2. You Belong to Me
by Karen Rose
Besides paranormal romances and urban fantasies, I love reading romantic suspences, and my favorite author from this genre is absolutely Karen Rose. Her series if full of action and the characters are well-draw. Her latest book, You Belong to Me was released in this sumer :)

1. One Grave at a Time
by Jeaniene Frost
Okay, I know, I know - I'm a little too obsessed with Jeaniene Frost's book, but I can't help myself. I love her books, and One Grave at a Time was the best book of the year for me :)

Anna Dressed in Blood cover contest

Patricia of Patricia's Particularity is organizing a cover contest as part of the Halloween Bash - I couldn't resist the temptation to take part in this cover contest as well. I love re-creating covers and posters so much (you must be aware of it by now, lol)! :) There are four book, the cover of which you can re-create:

1. Anna Dressed in Blood
2. If I die
3. Dust & Decay
4. Blood Song

You can create as many covers as you want :) The contest is international and there will be four rounds (see the details on Patricia's blog). I will probably make a cover for all of the four books, and my first entry is Anna Dressed in Blood:
